He had all the ingredients to be hopeless.
He was poor, ill and he was in love. All the routes for his
future were closed, and there was nobody who cared for him.
But he was interested in mysticism. When all the doors were
locked he decided to immigrate to U.S.A. and he shipped to
New York. But yet his life did not improve.
Yet
in the U.S.A, he discovered that the people were respecting
him as a man of letters and this was not similar in his birth
place in Lebanon. Hey enjoyed his freedom and he loved the
U.S.A and its people. He continued writing and he wrote the
best book ever in his time called "The Prophet".
This book remained to be famous in the U.S.A and Canada. It
was so famous for the people in both countries, that they
granted this book as a gift during Christmas and Gibran remained
in the people's mind even after his death.
