To be full
of desire or willing to both are descriptions of to be keen.
For example here one can say he was full of desire or keen to
meet his lover. This word is used for niceties in one's life.
And it will not be used for calamities. Yet it was used more
often than none during the Middle Ages particularly in Europe.
But it was never used for wars. For example one will not say
that he was keen to war. Even human emotion does have a price.
