Ever since its creation four centuries ago, the independence of Kuwait has been continually under threat. However, Kuwait defied all those threats in its independence by the wisdom and courage of the country's rulers, Al-Sabah family. The far sightedness of the rulers of Kuwait had established prosperity, peace and tranquility to the people of Kuwait.

Although the winds of change swept the whole globe, Kuwait remained untouched. However, the question of Kuwait being subjected to military occupation was a question, which was, rejected in totality by the whole population of Kuwait regardless whether the Kuwaiti people under occupation were inside the country or outside on holiday or business.

Furthermore, the whole population of Kuwait knew that it was a war, and based on that knowledge, they did everything in their power to resist the invasion. It was, indeed, a tragic occupation, which ruled the country by the vicious and ruthless IRON FIST and the POWER of the GUN.

However the price of resistance for the Kuwaiti people and their leadership of the country were extremely high, especially the human price.

Nevertheless, the Kuwaiti resistance to the cowardly action of invading military forces was more forceful and courageous. In my opinion, that was one reason why the fleeing defeated occupation forces took with them many Kuwaiti people as POWs.

Consequently, Kuwait deployed all its resources in an attempt to bring back its POWs. But unfortunately, a coward remained a coward no matter how powerful he is. After the Iraqi dictator was toppled it became clear that the dictator's army murdered some of the POWs and buried them in mass graves.

It has become exceedingly clear that the people of Kuwait has taught the invaders lessons in resistance and loyalty to their leadership.

Firstly, the invading army failed miserably to find any Kuwaiti willing to be the ruler of Kuwait.

Secondly, the invading army offered the people of Kuwait wealth and more prosperity.

Both bribes were rejected by the Kuwaiti people in preference to resistance and undoubting alliance around their leadership.
